Box.com Integration in Mewayz

Enhance productivity with direct access to Box.com files in the Mewayz-dash interface. No more switching apps or struggling with downloads.

Introduction

The Box.com Add-On integrates your Box.com cloud storage directly with the platform, allowing you to store, manage, and access files without switching between applications. Once configured, a Box.com button will appear on any activated module, giving you instant access to upload files, create folders, and manage your documents, all from one place.

How to use the Box.com Add-On?

Company Setting

To begin using the Box.com Integration, you first need to configure it within the system

settings:

Go to the Settings section of your dashboard.
Navigate to the Box.com Settings page.
Enable the integration by toggling on Enable Box.com Integration to allow files to

be stored in Box.com.

Before proceeding, take note of the Redirect URI displayed on the page:

Copy the URL shown (e.g., app.mewayz.com/box/auth/callback) and add it

to the Redirect URIs section while creating your app in the Box Developer Console.

In the configuration form, you will be required to enter:

Client ID – Provided by Box.com from your app’s Configuration

tab.

Client Secret – Also available from your Box.com app’s

Configuration tab.

To learn how to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret, follow the Setup Instructions on the page:

Go to the Box Developer Console

and create a new app.

Choose Custom App and Standard OAuth 2.0 authentication.
Add the Redirect URI shown on the settings page to your app.
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from the Configuration tab.
Save the settings and authenticate with Box.com.

Once authenticated, the Authentication Status will display as Authenticated.
After completing the Box.com setup, you can configure module-wise access for Box

integration from the settings section. The settings are organized into different module tabs.

Click on any module tab to manage its Box.com access. For each module, you can enable or

disable access by toggling the switch next to it.

When a module is enabled, the Box.com button will be visible and accessible on that

module’s page. If disabled, the button will not appear.

You can configure access for modules such as Sales Invoice, Purchase Invoice, Proposal,

Warehouse, and more based on your requirements.

Once you have configured the settings, click Save Changes to apply them.
After saving, the Box.com button will appear at the top right corner of all enabled

modules, allowing users to access Box.com directly from those pages.

Manage Files in Box.Com

Once you are inside the Box.Com – panel, you will find the following options at the top

right of the page:

Click the “Upload” button to upload files directly to your Box.com storage. A form box

will appear, allowing you to drag and drop multiple files or click Choose Multiple Files to browse and select files from your device. Once uploaded, the files will be visible in the panel and synced with your Box.com account.

Click the “Change Folder” button to assign a different existing Box.com folder to the

current module. A Choose Existing Folder form will appear, showing all available folders under your Box.com account.

You can browse through the folders, select the desired one, and click Assign Folder to

link it. You can also select Assign Current Folder to keep the folder you are currently viewing.

The list page displays a table of the column, including Name, Size, Last modified, and

Action. Click the “Create” button to create a new folder inside your Box.com storage. Enter a Folder Name. Once you save, the new folder will be instantly created and displayed in the file panel, helping you keep your project files organized.

The Box.Com Panel supports both Grid View and List View, so you can switch between views

based on your preference for browsing files and folders.

Available Action: you can use Download to save the file directly to your device, View to

open and see the file’s contents, or Delete to permanently remove the file.
